Today is Pi Day 3-14 (get it?) and we are having a Pi(e) party at Copperfield’s Books! Here is the deal, there are two contests. There are prizes for winners and all participants get to eat pie.
- Memorize & recite as many digits of numerical π as you can (http://www.geom.uiuc.edu/~huberty/math5337/groupe/digits.html) or…
- Write a Pi(e)ku, a 17 syllable haiku poem in traditional 5, 7, 5 format about π or pie.
The event starts at 3:14 pm. Be there or be square.
If you need your own pie and have not ordered one, please call ahead to our shop 707-766-6743 so we can make sure to have one available for you.
