Friday is Pie Day – Father wants pies, not ties

Hey Everybody! It’s Friday and this Sunday is Father’s Day! That means, you’ll want to make sure to get the special pie for that special guy! To be sure we have the pie he wants, it is best to order ahead.

Since it is Friday, that also means you can find us at the Occidental Farmers Market from 4:00 to dusk. And speaking of Farmers Markets, did you know that we are at the East Side Petaluma Farmers Market every Tuesday from 10:00am to 1:30pm?

Hey Everybody, it’s Friday again! We are open until 9 tonight and Saturday night. We will also be at the Occidental Farmers Market from 4 to 8 ish tonight. It is super summer fruit time at Petaluma Pie. We continue to have delicious local organic blueberries from Duckworth Family Farm, local blackberries from the pie garden and peaches and nectarines from Chris Gertz (find him at the Wednesday and Saturday Petaluma Farmers Markets). We have word from Eric Marshall in Sebastopol that we may be getting the first Gravenstein apples in about a week. In the meantime, we just started picking the first of the Elderberries, which will go into our Peach and Elderberry pies later in the weekend!

Where did all the May go?

What do you know, May is just about gone. Summer fruit seems to be here all at once this year. This weekend, you should come on down for pies made out of apricots, peaches, blueberries, nectarines, blackberries, loganberries, rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries, cherries and more! Many fruits came a little early and some might leave early, but at the moment, we have so many different pies we barely have room to display them all. We need your help! Come and eat them up!

This year was not so kind to cherries, so we may see an even shorter season that usual. Between drought, late hail and not enough chill over the winter, many of the farms we get cherries from had little or no cherries, but we have some now. If you have your heart set on cherry pie, large or small, it would be a good idea to order ahead, as supplies are limited.

Remember, we are now open until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays for your enjoyment.
