Join Us at the Heirloom Expo! It’s More Than Just Tomatoes!

Our friends over at Baker Creek Seeds (AKA The Seed Bank) have been organizing the First Annual Heirloom Exposition, which will be happening THIS COMING WEEK September 13, 14 and 15 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa. There will be exhibits talks, chef demos, film screenings and more. If you like to eat and you care about your food, you will surely want to go to the Heirloom Expo.

We will be doing a chef demo on Tuesday September 13 at 4pm. Tasty samples will be available. What kind of pie? You’ll have to attend to find out!

There will be a screening of Angelo’s 2002 documentary, Fed Up! Genetic Engineering, Industrial Agriculture and Sustainable Alternatives (not to be confused with GOP Presidential Candidate Rick Perry’s new book Fed Up! Our Fight to Save America from Washington) on Thursday Sept 15 at 2pm, followed by a Q&A at 3pm.

One of the featured interviews in Fed Up! is with Vandana Shiva, who will also be at the Heirloom Expo. Dr. Shiva will speak at the National Heirloom Exposition on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at 7 p.m.

Hope to see you there! A good time will be had by all!
