May Day!

May Day!

Marin History Museum Collection Maypole celebration, Kentfield, 1910

Hey Everyone, it’s May Day! May 1st is a special day for all kinds of people for all kinds of reasons. Most people know it as International Workers’ Day and these days it has been a day for immigrant rights rallies and if you are a pagan from Europe, it may be Walpurgisnacht or Beltane. It is also one of a number of Christian Feast Days.  It is many other ‘days’ as well. Whether you are dancing around the maypole, or bonfire, fighting for your rights or just celebrating spring, pie is a great accompaniment to any ‘day’ and on a day like today, you probably need a scoop of organic vanilla ice cream on top of it. Or get an iced coffee ‘a la mode’! The pie’s the limit!
