Happy Birthday Martin Luther King Jr.

Today, January 15th, is the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. Not only did he speak out against segregation and racism, he also spoke out against war and economic inequality. Here are some of his speeches you can listen to or read. While our nation has made much progress since his day, there is still quite a way to go.

Across the nation, people are observing his birthday in different ways. Many are participating in a day of service, while others are protesting against injustice.

We are open Sunday and Monday, so you can pick up some pie. Martin Luther King Jr.’s favorite was pecan.
