Where did the time go?

I blinked and half of November is just about over! That’s right, folks, Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away! We have already been getting orders in and this is just a friendly reminder that Sunday November 19th will be the LAST DAY to place your order for pickup on Wednesday November 22nd. On Wednesday the 22nd we will be open from 9am to 4pm. We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but open Friday the 24th.

Father wants pies, not ties!

That’s right, everybody, Father’s Day is coming up this Sunday June 18th! Who needs another tie? Not Father, he wants pie! Place your order to make sure you get the pie he wants or come in and see what we have! We are open from 9am to 7pm on Sunday, so you can bring him in for lunch and dessert.

It is officially too late to order pies for Thanksgiving. We have gotten so many orders and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Now it is time to get all those pies ready for you to pick up.

If you are the last minute type who didn’t get your order in, we are sorry. We won’t be answering the phone, because every call will be someone trying to order for Thanksgiving. Then how will we have time to make all the pies?

We can’t reserve any pies for you, BUT we will do our best to make as many extra pies as we can for Wednesday. They will be available on a first come, first served basis. We will be open Wednesday November 23rd until 4pm and we will be closed on Thanksgiving. We will be open again on Friday.

Hey Everybody, it’s New Years Eve! Just letting you all know that we are OPEN 9 to 4 today and yes, we are open on New Year Day for a short while from 10 to 4.

Deadline Extended

Hi Everybody,

Were you nice and prompt about getting your order in or have you been naughty, waiting until the very last minute to order pie for Christmas Eve? Well, we checked our list twice and decided it is OK to extend the deadline until Tuesday December 22nd. After Tuesday, we really need to put our foot down and stop taking orders and put our shoulder to the grindstone and make pies. Of course if you are not able to place an order, you can try your luck on Thursday (we will be open 9-4) and see what extra pies we made.

We are closed Christmas Day, but will be open the next day for you.

You can call us at 707-7mmm-PIE, but it really makes life easier for us if you order online at www.petalumapies.com. Online ordering will be be turned off at the end of the day Tuesday.

Ho ho ho, I need some pie, too, you know!

Hey Everybody, tonight, Sunday night, is the first night of Chanukah! Happy Chanukah! Enjoy your latkes, jelly donuts and gelt. If you would prefer pie, you still have 7 days left!

Friday is Pie Day- Happy Birthday to We!

Hey Everybody,

5 years ago today we opened our doors for the first time! Thank you, Petaluma, for keeping us going all this time.

This Saturday, December 5th come and celebrate for the Downtown Merchants Holiday Open House! There will be all kinds of fun things to do downtown. We will be sampling our Shaker Meyer Lemon Pie from noon to 3 (or until we run out). The weather should be cool and clear. We will help keep you warm with hot pie, hot chocolate, hot coffee, hot cider and more!

 

 

Thanksgiving Pies

Hey Everybody, Thanksgiving is right around the corner and that means the deadline to order pies is coming up even sooner!

Sunday November 22nd is the deadline to order and pies can be picked up at our shop between 9am and 4pm on Wednesday November 25th, the day before Thanksgiving.

You can place your orders online at www.petalumapies.com , in the shop or on the phone, but after Sunday November 22nd, we will turn off online ordering and we will not be answering the phone to take orders.

As always, we will work to make extra pies for last minute shoppers, but they will be available on a first come, first served basis only.

Memorial Day

It is Memorial Day and you may have the day off. You may be having a barbecue or taking a hike and you may be remembering someone who died in a war. These days, fewer and fewer of us have been touched by war, even though we have been engaged in war for more than a decade now. Since the draft was ended in 1973, we have had what is called an “all volunteer military”, which effectively means that only about 1% of the population sees combat. Maybe you have known people who died at war and maybe you don’t. Either way, take a moment between the barbecue, the pie and the Memorial Day sales to remember.

If you do need pie, we are open our regular hours from 9-8 today.

Saturday is Pi Day!

That’s right, everybody, Saturday is 3-14-15. Not only is it Pi Day, it’s Super Pi Day, which occurs only once in a century! And of course, at Petaluma Pie, you don’t need to choose between soup or pie, you can have them both!

We will be holding our annual Pi(e) Ku poetry contest with prizes and everything.   Winners will be announced on 3-14 at 1:59 pm. Deadline to enter is noon. Read all about it and enter your poem online here or come into the store and put pen to paper.

We have been working furiously to make enough pie for everyone, but we expect to be quite busy. We hope you’ll understand if we run out of your favorite (if you didn’t order ahead).

With music, merriment and pi, there will be a good time all a – round!
